The Sikeston Depot Museum is pleased to offer internships in the areas of collections, exhibitions, archives, research, and education. Our interns participate and gain experience in the following areas:

Exhibition and collection research
Processing archival collections
Object photography
Cataloging collections
Data entry
Exhibit preparation
Handling artifacts

Other assignments depending upon the interests and skills of the student

Candidates must be able to handle objects with extreme care, write neatly, work with detailed numbering systems, keep accurate and clear records, and work with computerized data and word processing software. Preferred majors include history, art history, material culture/anthropology, museum studies, archival science, or related fields. Previous museum or gallery experience is not required. Please note that all internships at the Sikeston Depot Museum are unpaid.
